​Located in Alto Paraíso de Goiás, in the Chapada dos Veadeiros, Tekoá operates in the regions of the Cerrado Biosphere Reserve .

We also act in the pathways of the "Mystic Route to the Center of the World" in the states of Goiás and Tocantins.

The center-west region of Brazil concentrates a considerable number of indigenous villages and quilombola peoples, including the 2nd largest quilombo of Brazil. In these places, visitors may experience the daily routine of these people while learning about a new culture, thus contributing to its appreciation and preservation.

Tekoá, in addition to identifying these communities and their potential, through visits accompanied by specialists from different areas, works to raise awareness and empower the people who live there. The planning of the offered experiences is done in cooperation with the residents, stimulating the overcoming of individual limits and promoting a recovery of the cultural aspects of these peoples.

 

We believe, above all, that there is tourism potential of immense value in these places and that these communities are the true guardians not only of the natural beauties but also of a unique ancestral patrimony, besides having ways of organization and coexistence that serve as examples to us. On the other hand, we observe that this type of tourism enriches the life of the travelers, contributing to one’s self-knowledge and merging realities.
